On Saturday March 17, 2012, Girl Scouts Louisiana East will celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting with the 2012 GSLExtravaganza! at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, LA. As part of the celebration, a living history of Girl Scouting through the ages will be on display for Girl Scouts, their families, and the general public to see and participate in. There will also be a council wide World Thinking Day event as well as a carnival with rides and games and food for all ages. Tickets into GSLExtravaganza to be $10 per person day of the event, this price includes admittance into the World Thinking Day event. Tickets are to be sold in advance for $8; deadline for discount is Friday March 2, 2012. Children 3 and under and senior citizens 70 and older admitted free.
